Understanding and Applying the UNP+ Framework

This UrbanByNature webinar introduces the Urban Nature Plans+ (UNP+) Framework, a 10-step approach developed within the UNP+ project to support cities in designing, implementing and strengthening Urban Nature Plans.

The session is aimed at local and regional government policymakers and practitioners who are involved in urban nature, climate, planning or sustainability processes. The webinar will provide an overview of how the UNP+ Framework is structured, how it is intended to be used by cities, and how it connects to the wider UNP+ Capacity Building Programme.

Representatives from the UNP+ consortium will present the core components of the framework, including its foundations, key enabling elements and support structures such as spatial planning, scenario building, justice and resource mobilisation. The presentations will also outline how cities can engage with the framework through self-assessment, technical support and ongoing learning activities.

A dedicated discussion segment will give participants the opportunity to ask questions, reflect on how the framework relates to their local context, and share feedback as the framework continues to be developed.

The UNP+ project brings together cities and partners from across Europe to advance urban nature plans. The Capacity Building Programme (CBP) complements this work by sharing lessons, tools and examples.  This webinar is one activity, alongside more than 30 short briefs and additional resources.
