Urban Nature Plan Guidance
The Urban Nature Plan Guidance supports local authorities in developing ambitious nature plans as part of the EU Biodiversity Strategy. It provides a framework for creating biodiverse urban spaces such as parks, forests, green roofs and more. Developed in collaboration with Eurocities and ICLEI, the guide is based on successful case studies and emphasises a collaborative approach with citizens and stakeholders.
It highlights the importance of integrating urban nature planning with other key areas such as mobility, health, water and climate adaptation to ensure that cities become greener over time.
The draft guidelines are now available.
